The Times have written a piece on the search/SEO industry, how its infiltrating mainstream marketing budgets and Search Optimisations’ importance in the current marketing landscape:

Whilst it’s interesting to read from an outsiders perspective, anyone with a passing knowledge of SEO (and penchant for pedancy) will be able to pick many holes in it

    As poor as some of the statements may be in that article, overall I think it’s constructive to the SEO industry. Marketing budgets are usually around 15% of turnover and when you think of the turnover of some companies, that’s a massive amount. Seeing SEO grow as part of that budget will be a good thing for the professional industry.
