Jon Ratcliffe - personal profile

I am an internet professional with over 10 years industry experience including exposure to e-commerce businesses and digital web agency environments. I work in and around the Greater Manchester area within the United Kingdom. I have previously worked for dabs.com, one of the UK's most successful pure play retailers and for Code Computerlove, one of the most successful full service web agencies outside London. I specialise in standards compliant web development and search engine optimisation (SEO). I am a Microsoft Certified Applications Developer and have been since 2005.

I am originally from a typographical design background and studied at Stafford college, one of only a handful of institutions running typography courses at the time. I have always been involved with the presentation and distribution of information, whether in the form of printed pages or web pages. What I learned about the presentation of information in the nineties is probably even more relevant now than when the web was in its infancy.
