Work history and experience

Prior to establishing highly visible in February 2008, I worked for a range of internet related companies, most recently, British Telecom’s online retail business dabs.com. At dabs.com I worked on the dabs.com and BT Shop websites and supported other applications throughout the business. I was responsible for improving search engine rankings across the websites and gained valuable insight into the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and search marketing industries.

I have had experience working in web agency environments, working for Code Computerlove for 4 years. The experience gained at Computerlove and other agencies has taught me how to react to tight deadlines and how to manage my time efficiently without compromising the standard of my work.

I have produced websites to W3C standards for the last 6 years and have worked to html and xhtml strict document types. I also strive to keep content, style and function as separate as possible, using semantic html to structure content, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) exclusively for presentation and unobtrusive javascript to create a progressively enhanced user experience.

I have worked with the Microsoft .NET Framework since its initial release and have proven experience in both VB.NET and C# languages. In 2005 I became a Microsoft Certified Applications Developer.
